Considerations
Make sure all devices have the target file downloaded locally, and that the file has exactly the same name on all devices.
Process
First, make sure you have downloaded the file onto the Leader device and all Learner devices.
Having access to a file in Google Drive is not the same as having it downloaded locally to the device – if you can see it in Google Drive, tap on it and select ‘Download’ to save it to the device. |
Double check that the file name is identical on all devices, e.g. ‘My-Video.mp4’ and My-Video-1.mp4’ are different, and the names must be exactly the same.
Check that the LeadMe Android app has permission to access ‘Files and Media’ on the Leader device and all Learner devices. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open Settings on your device
- Navigate to Apps → Manage apps → LeadMe → App permissions → Files
- Tap Files and Media → select ‘Allow access to media only’
- Repeat these steps on all Leader and Learner devices.
After enabling the permission, you may need to close and reopen the LeadMe app for the change to take effect. In some cases you may need to restart the device itself.
