AW2.1 Your Kit Contents

Slide 3 – Your AR/VR Education Kit is a portable pelican case that allows users the flexibility to wheel the technology to a desired location, and therefore not bound to the Lumination Learning Lab. The kit includes 15 Android Devices, 15 Handheld Virtual Reality headsets, 2 merge cubes, one 360° camera and one tripod. The modules in this course will delve deep into using the Android devices to view virtual and augment reality; while the 360° camera and merge cube will be explained in depth in our XR Media Creation Kit course.
Slide 5 – The Handheld Virtual Reality headsets, often referred to as HHVR headsets are used to view 360° content, whether it be images or videos. They will require the Android devices, as seen in step 3 on this quickstart guide, as the headsets themselves are more of a projection tool. Module 3 of this course will explore how to effectively utilise these headsets.
Slide 6 – The Education Kit provides one 360° camera that can be used to capture images and videos. This one camera is mainly aimed for educators to utilise to capture and create content and distribute amongst their students/users. If more cameras are required for a group project, the XR Media Creation Kit includes 15 of these cameras. Users can visit our XR Media Creation Kit course online to learn more about the secondary pelican case.
Slide 7 – Similar to the camera, this kit only includes 2 merge cubes as our XR Media Creation Kit provides 15 additional merge cubes. These merge cubes can be used alongside Android devices to view digital content. To learn more about merge cubes and augmented reality, please complete our XR Media Creation Kit course.
