AW4.2 What’s Available?

Optional Quiz – These questions will help you prepare for the final quiz, where the course content will be locked.
Slide 3 – Knowing how many IMVR stations your site has is important for your planning stage. Whilst one student is engaged in an experience at an IMVR station, they would have 1 to 3 others in their group to guide their movements, scribe their thoughts and observations and work collaboratively. So knowing the number of IMVR stations will allow you to group students accordingly and plan your other experiences.
Slide 4 – If your site has a Lumination Lab, you will have either 15 or 30 HHVR headsets and Android devices. This number is significant if a class teacher desires all students in the class to view content at the same time. If only 15 devices are available, teachers can either pair students up or create 2 working stations for the class, and get students to swap after half time. If you have not yet completed our AR/VR Education Kit course online, we recommend making time to complete this to learn how to use the technology in this kit with your students or users.
Slide 6 – Your Lumination Lab also comes with one Media Creation Kit that will have 15 merge cubes and 15 360° cameras at your disposal. These cubes will require the Android devices as they merely allow users to view and interact with augmented reality content, as if they were holding them in their hands. These cameras can be used with or without the Android devices to capture 360° images and videos. Students can then process this content to create annotated 3D tours or informational images. Our XR Media Creation Kit course covers all the technical information required to utilise the technology you see here.
